Play Unreal Tournament 4
The most modern version of the legendary FPS is still alive. Here’s how to jump into the action!
1. Download and Create Account
Follow the steps in the link to download the latest version of the game and create an account so you can login to the game to play.
Get UT42. Join the PUG Discord
4v4 pick up games are the most popular game mode and are organized daily in Discord.

3. Download Plugins
To play on the PUG servers, the following plugins are required.
Download and put the UT4AC folder and NetcodePlus folder inside:
C:\Program Files\UnrealTournament\UnrealTournament\Plugins
4. Join the PUG Queue
Pickup Games are organised through the Discord Bot in the
#ut4
channel.
Type .j elim to join the queue. When 8 players join, you will be notified to ready up.
The bot balances teams automatically. Once teams are set, join the corresponding voice channel (Blue or Red) in Discord.
5. Join the Server
The server starts automatically once everyone is ready. Join via: Play > Join a Hub > Servers Tab > Join Server
If you are the Host, wait for all 8 players to load in, then hit Enter to start the match.
The first team to score 10 points (win by 2) on two maps wins at which point you can requeue in discord if you wish.
6. Other PUG Commands
Type .list elim to see the current queue.
Type .lva to leave the queue if you can no longer play.
Finding Games
Public Games: Most active players are found in the Unreal Carnage (NA) or [PHX] PHOENIX GERMANY (EU) hubs.
Competitive PUGs: Balanced Pickup games (4v4 Elimination) are organized via Discord. Join the community to get started.
Useful Configuration
When connected to a PUG server, open the console with ~ and type: mutate teamskins. This allows you to set custom colors for enemies and allies for better visibility.
